Premiere Of The Queen Is A Royal Hit For ITV1

Last night The premiere of The Queen proved a royal hit for ITV1 with attracting nearly 8 million viewers.

The ITV Productions film, starring Helen Mirren in the lead role for which she won an Oscar, pulled in an average 7.9 million viewers and 36% audience share over two-hours from 9pm.

The film was a clear winner in its slot that’s for sure with BBC One drama Coming Down the Mountain managing just 4.7 million and a 20% share at 9pm, and Channel 4’s new reality show, Dumped, taking just 2.4 million viewers and a 10% share at the same time.
