As exam results have passed and student are off to University one thing that should be considered is contents insurance. Especially with the amount of gadgets which they have.
Students have in the region of £13,000.00 worth of contents each in the place which they reside according to Legal and General. Naturally items of a smaller size such as MP3 players and iPods are the most popular to go missing.
On in three students are victims of crime whilst being at University. This is as properties tend to be left unattended whilst students are at lectures or for long periods of time during holidays.
Some contents insurance is actually included in the price of the accommodation such as Hall of Residence, it is always worth checking before you purchase a policy.
It is also worth checking as some insurers will not only insure one room within a house.
Two of the insurers who specialise in Student Contents Insurance are Endsleigh and E & L.
