USA defeat Argentina at basketball in the FIBA Americas

The USA maintained their undefeated streak in the FIBA American basketball tournament by defeating Argentina 91-76 recently.The 91 points included an impressive 27 from Kobe Bryant, and another 18 from Carmelo Anthony. LeBron James racked up another 15 points, and a further 10 were added by Chauncey Billups. Argentinian Luis Scola made 20 points, also. This was Argentina’s first defeat, meaning the USA will play Puerto Rico and Argentina will play Brazil, in the FIBA Americas semi-finals on Saturday. The winners of these games will get a shot at the gold medal, and secure their place in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
