By: Daniel Chubb | August 31, 2007 | Leave a CommentIn the list of Forbes Most Powerful Women, the German leader, Angela Merkel, has come in first place for the second year in a row.
In the number two spot on the Forbes Most Powerful Women list is Wu Yi, who is pictured below.
Wu Yi made it on to the Forbes Most Powerful Women list as she is the vice premier of China, with is rapidly growing economy that is soon going to over take Germany, so we could see Wu Yi moving to the top spot in the Forbes Most Powerful Women list soon.
In third place is Ho Ching who is the CEO of Temasek Holdings and the wife of the prime minister of Singapore.
Temasek Holdings is Singapore’s state owned investment company, so Ho Ching is in a very powerful position, as the fund is worth $108 billion.
At number four on the Forbes Most Powerful Women list is the US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice.

Condoleezza Rice is losing a lot of popularity due to the Iraq war, but I guess so long as she stays in her powerful position, she will stay on the Forbes Most Powerful Women list.
Just making it into the top five is the Chief executive of PepsiCo, Indra K. Nooyi.
Indra K. Nooyi has been gaining power at the company as it now has $35 billion in revenues and a $105 billion market cap.
Also in the top ten of the Forbes Most Powerful Women list were:
6. Sonia Gandhi
7. Cynthia Carroll
8. Patricia A. Woertz
9. Irene Rosenfeld
10. Patricia Russo
