Back in July, at Comic-Con, SAW IV producer, Mark Burg revealed that the MPAA has given the first cut of the movie an NC-17 rating. Clearly unhappy, Mark said, “One day we’d like to have the guts and leave it like it is”
Well it seems that day is still yet to come as the MPAA have given the latest cut of the film an R-Rating for sequences of ‘grisly bloody violence and torture throughout’ isn’t that the whole point of SAW?
It’s expected that the we’ll see more of the ‘grisly’ bits when the unrated dvd gets released next year. IGN have also provided us all with the new and final theatrical poster, showing the women from the first production photo wearing the pig mask. I like the fact that we don’t actually know what’s really going on in the movie. Good move Lionsgate!
