Rise to Earthquake Premiums from the California Earthquake Authority

If a plan to restructure the finances of the California Earthquake Authority goes ahead this could lease consumers paying an average of 8% more per year on the insurance premiums. Whilst the contribution to the state agency would be cut by upt o a third.

If funding is cut to the state then many insurers have said that they will no longer do business in California rather than suffer future losses.
