Census Shows poverty rate decline and people without health insurance rises

Although the Census Bureau may have announced that the poverty rate in the USA has dropped to 12.3 per cent, the number of people without health insurance is on the rise.

Surely something is not right?

The number of Americans without health insurance has risen 2.2 million to a massive total of 47 million.

I would have thought that is the poverty rate was going down, so would the number of people without health insurance, but this has not been the case.

What do you think?

Is there something wrong with the figures for poverty and health insurance?
