A while ago, we announced that Kevin Smith will be directing an upcoming episode of Battlestar Galactica. It was an exciting prospect but unfortunately it looks like it won’t happen after all.
Runner for Battlestar Galactica Ronald D Moore told fans at the official SciFi Channel Web Site that a ‘scheduling conflict’ has emerged and Smith will no longer be attached to direct an episode.
When asked whether they will issue a statement to the media Moore harshly replied,
“No, they probably won’t. Something like that only registers on message boards.”
So according to Moore, news sites like us and many others don’t actually exist, Nice!

You guys really need to do some leg work on your ‘reporting’. It is astonishingly shoddy. The statements you printed above were not made in any way by Ronald D Moore. They were made by his wife, who posts on the Sci Fi boards as MrsRon. Quite easy to figure out. And using the word ‘harshly’ to describe how she replied takes quite some imagination. I thought she was pretty much stating it as it is. There were no big articles written up in magazines about his helming of an episode. And there had not been a press release (as far as I know) that was released to break the news. Kevin Smith mentioned it in an interview.
