Sevilla football player Antonio Puerta dies of postanoxic encephalopathy and multiorgan dysfunction

Antonio Puerta the defender for the Spanish football team in Sevilla has died at the young age of just 22, although his death looked like a heart attack, the actual cause of death was postanoxic encephalopathy and multiorgan dysfunction. Puerta was on an intensive care machine since he collapsed during a football match between La Liga fixture and Getafe.
But Antonio could not last out much longer and died of postanoxic encephalopathy, this is a delayed result when you are in a coma and the brain does not get enough oxygen to the brain, he also had secondary multiorgan failure, this was due to prolonged cardiac arrest.
