The father-in-law of popular singer Amy Winehouse has pleaded to the public to stop buying her records until she has sorted herself out.Giles Fielder-Civil, father of her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, has asked that neither Winehouse or her musician husband recieve awards or have their records sold until they have sorted out their drug problem and stopped fighting as a couple, for fears they may spiral out of control completely. Giles Fielder-Civil called them “Clearly they are addicts.” He has also suggested that her record label Island Records become “pro-active in helping the couple to get better.” This contrasts to their statement, saying they’ve done “everything we can to help with Amy’s personal problems over the past few weeks.”
Do you think WInehouse and Fielder-Civil can pull themselves together?
