Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees Rivalry – Far From Over
By: Daniel Chubb | August 28, 2007 | Leave a CommentAny fans who have forgotten about the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees rivalry will be reminded tonight at the Stadium that the rivalry is far from over.
The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox haven’t had a game together for nearly 3 months and past games have proven to be very interesting to say the least.
Yankees v Red Sox in August has proven in the past as an opertunity for the Bosox to take one last run at the Bombers, but this time the Yankees will be the team doing the chasing.
“We’re chasing somebody, so obviously this is more of a challenge than if you’re in first,” said Derek Jeter. “That puts a little spin on it. It’s different for people that have been here, but we’ll take it one day at a time. We happen to be playing Boston; when Boston leaves, we’ll play Tampa Bay. At this point, every game is big.”
What do you think the result will be in this game?
