Will Intel’s new 1333mhz FSB Core 2 Duo Processor Range Make Us Upgrade?
August 27, 2007 | Filed under Computer Hardware, Computers

Intel’s release of a 1333mhz FSB Core 2 Duo will mean that anyone who wants to realize the full potential of these processors, will have to buy a Motherboard with a P35 chipset, costing at least $100 from newegg. Unless you go for the low end of the market and buy a $50 motherboard that just fits the requirements, its going to be at least a $280 upgrade if you get the cheapest E6550. Or is this just the first step towards the migration into the higher FSB range of processors. Seeing as the only Intel processor with 1333mhz FSB has the QX6850 processor, which didn’t allow for the lower markets, the cost was $1200. Will we see whether the release these 1333mhz FSB processors will lead the way to higher FSB speeds for processors to come with the new penryn processors?
What do You think about the new range of 1333mhz FSB processors?
Will they catch on?
