Now, I must apologise as it seems like everyday I am posting “exclusive news” about the Justice League of America Movie, only to post a retraction the following day. Now, the film is definitely going to happen, despite rumours saying otherwise. Warner Bros wants to push the film into production by March 2008 - before the potential strike.
Last week, I told you that the Justice League of America Movie would be filmed using Motion Capture. Well, for those who were worried about it you needn’t be, the film has gone back to square one and will be a live-action movie.
IESB has reported that only a few underwater sequences and computer generated characters will be created using Motion Capture. Also rumoured is that the drop-dead gorgeous Smallville Star Tom Welling is in talks to play Superman in the film. Series producer Alfred Gough is having none of it and has siad that filming the JLA movie early next year would run into scheduling problems with Smallville so we’re still none the wiser. I really hope Tom will play Superman, not only because he’s smoking hot because I think he’s a great actor, honestly!
All this confusion could easily be cleared up with one announcement from Warner Bros. So far all we know is that George Miller is obviously attached to direct. So, come on Warner Bros, tell us what’s going on!
