The big screen adaptation of the video game Hitman has got a new release date. 20th Century Fox has moved Hitman’s release date from October 17th to November 21st. Could it be possible that Fox wanted to distance Hitman from 30 Days of Night, which will hit theatres on October 19th?
With its new release date, Hitman will go head to head with the adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist, August Rush, Disney’s Enchanted and The Coen Brothers’ No Country for Old Men. Surely there was far less competition with Hitman’s October release date?
Lionsgate has announced the release date for Frank Miller’s adaptation of the Will Eisner Comic The Spirit. The movie will be released in cinemas on January 16th 2009. January isn’t a very popular month for film releases and I was certain that The Spirit would be more of a summer film. With JJ Abrams 1-18-08 being released in January maybe it’s now the hottest month to release in?
