Chinese Recalls: officials blame change to international standards governing magnets
By: Daniel Chubb | August 27, 2007 | Leave a CommentAfter a number of goods from China were recalled, China is trying to defend the quality of its goods, saying some of the problems may have stemmed from foreign designs.
In a dramatic turnaround, China has blamed AMERICA for the recent poor standard of products from China. China has said many problems are due to US designs, not Chinese manufacturing faults.
China has also blamed a change to international standards governing magnets and other areas of manufacturing:
“The different standards that China and the United States apply to different products”
“That would lead to difficulty in defining whether a product is problematic,”
Do you think these recalls are the fault of China?
Or are they justified in blaming America?
