Ron Paul is without a doubt the main draw at a Republican presidential straw poll that attracts several long shot candidates.

In New Hampshire a large crowd gathered to witness the presidential hopeful Ron Paul, with questioning ranging from from foreign policy to the Federal Reserve’s intervention in the jittery financial markets. The crowds paid little attention to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Rep. Tom Tancredo.

Ron Paul answered all questions with a minimalist philosophy. “I want to be president mainly for what I don’t want to do: I don’t want to run your life, I don’t want to run the economy and I don’t want to police the world,”

Support for Ron Paul is growing fast, with a wide range of support across the political spectrum, the substantial amount of varied support is rare in todays wedge politics.

Ron Paul known mainly for his anti-war views and reverence for the Constitution, gave an explanation for his diverse support. “There is only one thing — the Constitution and freedom — that brings people together,” he said. “It’s not divisive.”

Will Ron Paul Be the Next President of the United States?

If not who would you like to see win the 2008 election?

I was asleep, but Ron Paul has awakened something in me

Ron Paul - There really is something different here.

Years ago, I gave up the illusion of finding someone worthy of my vote for President. The candidates are politicians; beholden to their party, lobbyists & special interest first - the people last.

I’ve always thought “…An honest politician -Yea Right! when pigs fly -I’ll believe that when I see them vote down a pay raise, give back left-over money in their office budget, and give up their obscene congressional pension…” Guess what! Ron Paul actually does this!

Here’s something else that speaks volumes about Ron Paul’s character — lobbyists don’t even bother to visit his office any more. They know that if the legislation doesn’t serve “The People”, and if it doesn’t follow the Constitution, he won’t vote for it.

I’ve watched Ron Paul (YouTube/C-SPAN) & I don’t ever recall hearing him say negative things about the other candidates. He’s running a clean campaign, always sticking to the issues, & never resorting to “mud-slinging” like the others.

Whether you agree with his ideas or not, you have to admit, it’s truly refreshing to actually find an honest politician - one that actually looks out for “The People”, and follows the principles of our founders -no kidding!

Oh - here’s another thing I find very interesting, the major media outlets are essentially ignoring him, and the other candidates are trying to bar him from future presidential debates. You have to ask yourself, WHAT ARE THEY AFRAID OF!?

The more I see and hear of Ron Paul, the more I like him. He seems the most sane and Presidential of all the candidates running. When you get Guiliani saying things like I spent more time at the world trade center site than the workers and firemen, or Obama wanting to invade Pakistan I don’t think there is a better choice than Ron Paul. I am 80% leaning toward Ron Paul. I am a lifelong Republican.

It’s rare to get anything but New World Order news we never get the absolute truth about what is going on. They are taming us & blinding us to the truth, making us out to be conspiracy wackos. Does any know the president is writing our liberties away with illegal presidential directives? We’ve been infiltrated by corrupt foriegn bankers who’ve mastered the art of propagand & deceit; making us dumb, fat & afraid. Most sickening of all is that people are willing to send there sons & daughters to the slaughter for these lies -IRAQ, AFGANISTAN.
This will be the final election before their plans for a New World Order will be fulfilled. Ron Paul is the only one who can stop it.
Ron Paul will shut down the Federal Reserve Bank (Where our hard money goes), Shut down the IRS (Illegal BullDog agency), abolish the Federal Income Tax (Money they put in thier piggy bank)
People wake up now. We need to stand together, agree to disagree about our issues, stop the ‘ILLUMINATI’ first from taking over & then we can work out our differences later. Remember this: We are not a democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic. Democracy is 2 wolves & a sheep deciding whats for dinner. A republic is: You do it your way & I will do it mine, just as long as no one is getting hurt, killed, stealing, or whatever & the people we elect are only put there to make sure it stays that way.
They have no business what so ever writing anything away from The Constitution. Fear should be our first motivator not thier biggest weapon. See you in the streets for the revolution if Ron doesn’t get in. Good Night & Good Luck!

Before the 08 election started I was a Hillary Clinton fan. Mainly because I thought we did well economically during the 90’s. I have changed my position completely when I heard of Ron Paul from a customer of mine. Ron Paul has the message of freedom that got me. After watching the debates and how the media reports about Ron Pauls successes I can see that I have been brainwashed. The media can lie and manipulate you any way they wish. Where’s my proof? Well find out about Ron Paul winning the last few straw polls and you will not find a main stream media site that even reported on the issue. The real news is on Youtube. An internet site that shows actual footage of the strawpoll results and a site where you can find past videos of other candidates flip flopping. It’s awesome!

Yeah…Ron Paul has moved me. I have never been moved by a candidate before. I voted for GW Bush twice and was hostile somewhat towards the democrats…but Ron Pauls message has opened me up to the rights and freedoms espoused in our Constitution. Because of this I feel greater peace and openness towards Democrat views, Repbulican views, and other party views. I may not agree with them…but am at peace with them and their right to have those views. It’s strange…but a Constitutional view allows you to join with your fellow American even though you may have opposing views. The other views divide us…

For me, it’s been a difficult choice between Dennis Kuchinich and Ron Paul. Both are honest, and have integrity, but there is a component of kindredness in Ron Paul’s campaign that I do not find in Kuchinich’s. Paul brings people together in a way that is not fake or saccharine. His views are sensible and good. He has, even at this point, changed the face of U.S. campaigning forever; millions of people who previously had no interest in politics are leaping from their beds to support Dr. Paul. As good and sensible as Kuchinch is, he is simply not inspiring. He needs a better haircut also.

  7. Allan says:

I’ll support Kucinich and Ron Paul for the nominations for their respective parties as they both have something great to offer the presidential race. But I think Ron Paul is the better candidate as he has a clear understanding of what is wrong and what to do about.

  8. Wilhelmi says:

Ron Paul is more interesting and less divisive than a number of candidates. He is one of the only candidates not in the pocket of anyone. God Bless this man and our country.

  9. Glen says:

Ron Paul is like a good cup of coffee in the morning. He wakes us all up to the fresh truth that we the people are responsible for our country. All the rest of the 2008 presidential candidates are in the illusion that the government can just create money like magic and cure all our problems without us having to even say ouch.

  10. Matthew Miller says:

I got on to Ron Paul after watching him in Arron Russo’s movie “freedom to fascism” that was six months ago and I have studied him a lot since, there is one issue I don’t agree with him on and that is his trade policy, but I am going to vote for him anyways because this man is brilliant and I think he has a vision that I’m not seeing on this issue, I also trust him to always do whats in the peoples best interest even if that means that he has to change his policies, we will probably not ever get a chance like this again, please keep telling every one you know.
