By: Daniel Chubb | August 25, 2007 | Leave a CommentThe Red Bull Flugtag started in Vienna, Austria, in 1991. It is a tournament where groups of people have to build some sort of machine/ cart/ anything that will fly them by using only human power, teams are judged on the distance they travel, creativity and showmanship, this creative idea has proven to be very effective and very popular.
Since 1991 36 Flugtag Tournaments have taken place, the latest being today Flugtag Austin, it has attracted over 300,000 spectators and even the boys from Jackass tried having a go at it in Flugtag Baltimore 2006!
