Hilary Carol Cruz received her crown from outgoing Miss Teen USA Katie Blair at the conclusion of the two-hour competition at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
The contestants competed in the following categorie: swimsuit, evening gown and an interview
Hilary has said that in five years time she hopes that she will have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and land a job with a TV entertainment news program.
Miss Maryland Teen USA Allison Farrow captured the photogenic award and Miss Mississippi Teen USA Anne Elise Parks won the congeniality award.
