Nikon have now released their new D300 model alongside the D3. It is a mid range, 12.3 megapixel model with the highly acclaimed”Expeed Image Processing System” processor and a new 51 point auto-focus system. It is a digital SLR, following the trend of showing a live preview of the image on the LCD screen. A feature which most photographers will be happy about are the measures included to avoid dust on the sensors. The camera includes a mechanical shake system to dislodge dust, and a reduction in the static electricity on components in the camera. The Nikon D3000 is both expected in November of this year, costing $1,800.
