It seems that the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver has now become a widespread issue; more and more users are having error issues with this Wireless Receiver attachment. The problem does look as though it is getting worse, as more people on many forums and review sites are all complaining about this now useless piece of equipment.
The problem is that people are using their Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver only to find that it is sucking the life out of every other USB peripheral, so when you plug your Microsoft gadget all other items that have been plugged into the USB port stops working.
Also another issue is the fact that when you try and speak to Microsoft’s tech support, they do not do much in the way of solving this issue.

The issue that has been with me from day one was been using the triggers simultaneously (it can’t be done due to the triggers being considered the z-axis and pressing both cancel each other out) and/or being successfully be recognized in a game (though this is more of the program’s/game’s programmers fault not Microsoft’s).
My major complaint however is that I have only had this Receiver for 2 months and it simply no longer works - the light does not come on, as if no power is being allocated to it! I have made no hardware changes and my USB ports provide more than enough power.
It’s really a shame; I bought this and an xbox360 controller thinking that at least Microsoft’s controllers were made well, only to find that compatibility is near non-existent for games created before 2008 and that this Receiver could potentially require more electricity than an unpowered-external hard drive.
