Everyday it seems there is a new story surrounding the Justice League of America movie. So what do we know so far? Well, Warner Bros has a script and definitely want to make a movie. It’s rumoured George Miller is attached to direct, and Brandon Routh and Christian Bale are unlikely to be in the movie. So what’s new? Well today it seems that the film could actually be created using motion capture/performance, the same technology used for Polar Express and the upcoming Beowulf.
Well, this makes a little more sense, as this technique would be better received by mass-audiences but the downside is, the film wouldn’t be ready until 2010 or 2011! This new deadline will give sufficient breathing room for Batman and Superman sequels.
Personally, I think that, unlike with Polar Express, a Justice League of America movie would suit motion capture. The superheroes in the film are bound to have some massive sequences that would involve a lot of special effects on a live-action film.
This type of technology would also allow a streamlined conversion to IMAX and RealD 3D.
What do you think of a JLA movie being in Motion Capture? Do you think it would be better as a live-action movie? Let us know.

A MOCAP Justice League film is ridiculous. Don’t waste the time or money Warner. Only five year olds will care.
a mocap JLA is a foolish idea… do it live action… the film industry has the tools to make it an incredible flick… i agree, mocap will be cool for kids ONLY… adults who grew up on the JLA will flock to the theatres for a live action film…
