Juanita Bynum badly beaten by husband Bishop Thomas Weeks

Juanita Bynum the evangelical preacher has been badly beaten by her husband Bishop Thomas Weeks while in a parking lot in an Atlanta hotel. The attack on Juanita Bynum was very brutal; the bestselling author was left battered and covered in bruises.
Juanita Bynum was famous for her sermons that were, let’s face it very frank and let’s not forget fiery, her main focus at these sermons were to do with empowerment and how to make your relationship work. Bynum and her husband Thomas Weeks were apart at the time, but decided to meet up at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel, in the hope of working out their problems.
The at about 4 a.m both Juanita Bynum and Thomas Weeks were seen fighting, at which point a hotel bellman had to rush over to the parking lot and pull Thomas Weeks off his wife. The first Officer on the scene Ronald Campbell had said that Bynum was bruised and battered, her neck was all purple as well as her torso. As yet no charges have been made against Bishop Thomas Weeks.

Juanita Bynum is a powerful women of God. I noticed that she was lacking the anointing ever since she has been married to Mr. Weeks. I believe that things were going wrong for a long time, and I believe she tried to make it work. I don’t understand some men when they get a powerful woman and a Godly woman they do not know what to do with her. He was attracted to this powerful woman, but at the same time the same things men are attracted to are the same things they start to despise. This incident is just a representation of the brokenness that exists within families particularly in the African american community. There are always signs when it comes to domestic abuse, I believe no one is above the law, and I believe that he should receive counseling, probation or maybe even a light sentence. However if Juanita Bynum fears for her life, a sister got to do what a sister has to do. I am married with 2 children and my power is challenged sometimes. It is hard because at the end you start to lose yourself. Marriage is complicated and trying at times. A man’s nature is to control and to be the head and when that is challenged there is always problems. Does Mr. Weeks have a past history of abuse, no one just snaps like that. Black women in this society need to be cherished more. We come from a history of oppression, but do we need to be continually victimized by our own people. Black women are we sleeping with the enemy? It is not the world who can destroy us, but the people who are the closet to us who inflict the most pain.

My prayers go out to Mr. & Mrs. Weeks. I in no way condone his actions and I pray that he will allow God to fully deliver him. Juanita is such an awesome and anointed woman of God. As she heals I pray that she depends even more so on God she loves and preaches about. God bless
If I may share a quote with you from Mrs. Bynum herself.Ya though I walk through the valley…..I will fear no evil for though art with me. She has a 2:58 sermon on You Tube that states that she as well as others have a cloud over there lifes. There has been many situations that could have taken us out but we are still here cause GODS got us coverd and I feel sorry for anyone who lays hands on one of GODS coverd.
We should pray for our leaders,they are under heavy attack I always pray for my Pastor & Wife here in San Diego,Ca it should not be a strange thing we are all have a cross to bare,these are praying times everyone that reads this please pray for them, there are souls that need Christ and when our focus is off of Christ we give the devil what he wants, and thats to sift us as wheat. This can’t even stop her destiny yet I belive that this woman needs a lot of prayer and even fasting on her behalf because. Hell is surely celebrating thinking that it has silenced on of it’s worst enemies but while that was going own just as the Biblical Stephen was being stoned Jesus stood up and when he stands all things will be shaken up and set straight.
She displayed excellence in Ministry and demonic forces was on her trail and she knew this.
We love her and wish the best for she and her husband.
She is not one that is power hungry or desperate for fame so I am sure that she will take time off until it’s time for her to come out as work the works that she was sent here for…
I would really like to hear his account of what happened before I lean either way, and all of u should too. What i have discovered in situations like this is that one person will tell their side, the other will tell their version and what really happened is usually somewhere in between.
I really think that Patriarchy is to blame here. I think that all the Abrahamic faiths have this imbalance. I note for example only the Male Dieties are lifted up in all the Abrahamic Faiths. To me, a more balanced trinity would include a mother principle, a father principle and a child or children principle. The classical western chritian trinity is a trinity of Gods of the same sex ~ a homo-sexed Trinity. We need balance, and a bronze age idea of Male over Female is anachronistic and will need to be re-vamped to fit the modern age. Right now there are more female african american women in college then male. 40 years from now, aspects of African Female goddesses, will be praised more than they are now. I am a Male living in Oakland, where we will have a march of over 500 gay black women this Saturday August, 25, they are in the process of defining principles, values, and deities, that support their special genetic circumstances, that bronze age concepts can’t contain.

leave the two alone. theirs is a marriage like any other that cannot survive unless it is enveloped in prayer. when is the last time you prayed for them?
