You really should watch what you say about them because even though they had a down moment they’re still God’s Anointed. The Bible says in,

The report you’ve published is hyperbole and irresponsible. You could’ve read the AP and other truthful reports online, to more accurately report the truth. Instead you chose to exaggerate the reports and inflame readers. Your reporting is a disappointment.

So far Deborah I have not found any article any diffrent than the one I have read above. They all say the same thing. If there is any diffrent please let me know. It is hard to say that this story is wrong when all other sites basically are saying the same thing. For the Pastor’s comment, yes spiritually people do have down falls also, but I do not think it is it makes what he did any diffent than a nonspiritual man. What he did was wrong. No matter what down falls we have in life; God never told anyone to stay in an abusive relationship. We try to bring God into decisions that we make on our on. Mrs. Bynum Weeks did not bring this beaten on herself and yes we all have struggles but, God helps us to overcome these struggles, even if he allows us to make it out alive he does not state in his word to return to a loveless marriage. A Man that loves God Loves his wife, A Man that loves his wife will cherish her not beat her. I look up to Mrs. Bynum Weeks she is still a child of God. whether this story is fabricated the truth remains that Bishop Weeks did the unspeakable. This incident is disturbing on all levels. Juanita Bynum is a powerful women of God. I noticed that she was lacking the anointing ever since she has been married to Mr. Weeks. I believe that things were going wrong for a long time, and I believe she tried to make it work. I don’t understand some men when they get a powerful woman and a Godly woman they do not know what to do with her. He was attracted to this powerful woman, but at the same time the same things men are attracted to are the same things they start to despise. This incident is just a representation of the brokenness that exists within families particularly in the African american community. There are always signs when it comes to domestic abuse, I believe no one is above the law, and I believe that he should receive counseling, probation or maybe even a light sentence. However if Juanita Bynum fears for her life, a sister got to do what a sister has to do. I am married with 2 children and my power is challenged sometimes. It is hard because at the end you start to lose yourself. Marriage is complicated and trying at times. A man’s nature is to control and to be the head and when that is challenged there is always problems. Does Mr. Weeks have a past history of abuse, no one just snaps like that. Black women in this society need to be cherished more. We come from a history of oppression, but do we need to be continually victimized by our own people. Black women are we sleeping with the enemy? It is not the world who can destroy us, but the people who are the closet to us who inflict the most pain.

She has a 2:58 sermon on You Tube that states that she as well as others have a cloud over there lifes. I would really like to hear his account of what happened before I lean either way, and all of u should too. What i have discovered in situations like this is that one person will tell their side, the other will tell their version and what really happened is usually somewhere in between.

I really think that Patriarchy is to blame here. I think that all the Abrahamic faiths have this imbalance. I note for example only the Male Dieties are lifted up in all the Abrahamic Faiths. To me, a more balanced trinity would include a mother principle, a father principle and a child or children principle. The classical western chritian trinity is a trinity of Gods of the same sex ~ a homo-sexed Trinity. We need balance, and a bronze age idea of Male over Female is anachronistic and will need to be re-vamped to fit the modern age. Right now there are more female african american women in college then male. 40 years from now, aspects of African Female goddesses, will be praised more than they are now. In marriage the “fruit of the Spirit” is needed to make a marriage work. And the only way that is achieved is by taking seriously God’s Word especially John 15. When Christ is honored in both their lives then they will submit to all of what God says and produce the fruit of the Spirit.

This is what happens to people who have boasted consistently the promotion of their charismatic “Gift” and failed to take seriously the rest of God’s word concerning “Fruit of the Spirit” and how we should “Walk” Ephesians 5:2

May God use this tragic event to sober them up to that end.

I talked to my close friend last night and she was very upset over this situation she called it a tragedy. I do not know what happened between them, but, as many others here have stated they are people, they are human. I am sure both will be emabarrased by this situation and may need to rebuild trust with some, in some areas. The only way that this is a complete tragedy in my opinion is if they do not recover! I am truly sorry for what happened and like the other sister said that this is only a test for the great testimony. Don’t loose focus. The anointing on your life will never be decreased as a result of what happened. The Bible tells us that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. I don’t believe that what has happened to you is a shock to God and I know that He is indeed ordering your steps.

I know this may be hard for you right now but don’t allow anyone to bring your husband down. I know you to be a mighty wonman of God and I admire you very much therefore I can almost say with accuracy that before you married him you would have sought directions from God. And rightly so, because that is what He required us to do.

Personally, the Lord has been dealing with me in the area of killing my flesh. situations that i have been going trough i often say to Him what i am going to say to those people who intentionally try to do me wrong and He asked me one day the question, are you doing it because it is right or are you doing it because it will make you feel better. I told Him what i want to do is not wrong but overall it will make me feel better. He told me as long as i do thing that will make me feel better in the natural too much flesh is still alive. all i am trying to say is that the decision you make, the world will be watching and it could be the defining moment for both you and your husband and a lost soul.

Please do the right thing! Although it is hard right now try not to be so emotinal when you talk to God in order for you to hear what He is saying. at the end of the day we are all here to bring glory to God, what other people feel should in deed be secondary.

No one is to blame here except Mr. Weeks. There were witnesses to this crime. The hotel bellhop had to pull him off of her. He beat her to the ground and was stomping her.

You should be thanking God that the bellhop was there and intervened.

The facts are right there for everyone to see. Take off the blinders and stop making excuses for this kind of behavior. Preachers are not immune to the laws of the land.

What a shame! No one seems to be seeing the big picture here; hypocrisy. Ms. Bynum has made millions of dollars with her sermon “No More Sheets” empowering women to leave unhealthy relationships. Who knows how long she has been physically and emotionally abused? I doubt this is the first time. Each week she continuosly steps on the pulpit preaching a message of foreging Godly relationships. What a hypocrit. I wish we as a culture would stop being defensive and forgiving and hold our leaders, entertainers and sports figures to the same standards. The standards of being accountable for our own actions. That’s what Jesus would do.

Why should we “watch what we say about him” if this incident is true? Also, what makes you believe that this man is among “God’s anointed”? Because he claims to be? Forget what he “says”; even Satan himself can claim to be a Christian while bearing no fruits of the spirit.

God is still good – it is man who is corrupt. A husband and wife, none of us know their struggles, their weaknesses, or even the reason behind the altercation. As Beverly stated, we have to stop putting man/woman on pedestals – remember what time were in people – false prophets, etc. We are living like we’re in the Old Testament – Prior to Jesus ripping down the veil thus allowing us to go directly to God. What this man did is wrong both from a Christian stand point and from a secular. What we as Christian need to do is pray for both of them, because the devil is attacking marriages all over. On the same note, he needs to publicly ask for forgiveness and he needs to be punished for his actions as well. Once we has Christian realize that we are all humans and that we all fall short, when these things happen we will be more equipped to handle it rather than passing judgment on the person or turn away from Church all together. Also, Christian should not be arguing with someone from the secular world about these things, the carnal mind cannot understand things of the spirit.

So with that said, our main focus should be, pray for this couple, and all marriages for that matter, and if he has to be punish for it, so be it.

We need to realize that Satan will use anyone. He doesn’t discriminate, we do. To him it did not matter that she was a prophetess and he was the bishop,but he saw that they have influence which brought about an opportunity for Satan to attack. This is spiritual warfare, a matter that can not be addressed in the flesh with a carnal mind. Instead of worrying about whether or not they are hypocrits, check yourself, and pray for them. Let he that is without sin cast the first stone. Remember that the word (God’s Word) says touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm. Life and death are in the tongue, so before you speak think: Will these words break down or build a person up? It’s time for us to be kingdom minded.

“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) This is what we are instructed to do. If we would get back to what God has purposed for us to do in moments like this, we would come together as the body of Christ and “Pray”. Prayer changes thing. “…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. ” (James 5:16b).

I’m so sorry that most of you actually feel he is right or justified in doing what he did, That was not a act of god so therefore he DOSENOT have an annointed from god, if you ask me he never had it. It’s time for the Body of Chris to stop mis-quoting the Word of Christ silencing wrong doing in the church

This is an opportunity for each of us as leaders to see what God is saying, it’s not always about the attack of the “enemy”. May be God is doing an exposing in the Body of Christ and He wants us to seek help in our marriages as leaders. There are alot of “weeks” out there that are going to the same thing and afraid to speak out. Because of the misquoting of touching not my anointed syndrome.

Who are the anointed?
John 17:17 “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” Unless someone is speaking the word correctly they are not teaching the truth and it doesn’t matter if they call themselves anointed, or how big or successful a ministry they have, they are WRONG.
What do the anointed man and women of God act like? Do they stop you from going to check their teachings or anyone else’s by the Word? Of course not, Titus 1:9 “holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.”
No apostle ever said they were anointed, they did not speak in this manner; “don’t touch me I’m God’s anointed.” If someone is truly anointed, they would want to encourage the people to discern what is true and what is not. They would encourage people to pursue truth no matter where it would lead. They would love the sheep enough to protect them from falsehood and want to see them grow. They would allow the sheep to learn and think for themselves. The anointing, who is the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and someone who has the Spirit of Truth will never run from seeing error but will confront it when necessary. He will give someone the truth from the Word, subsequently leading us away from error.
We also need to ask the question who is anointed? The Bible tells us the whole body of Christ is

God did not tell Juanita Bynum to marry this man. God is good and does not add any sorrow with his blessings. Thus, he would never lead anyone into an abusive marriage. So the question becomes, who is she listening to? She is not the prophetess she claims to be. We need to stop following these false prophets and money changers and stop calling them God’s anointed. Where are the folks with the gift of discerning of spirits?

This was a very disturbing report. I don’t blame any other than the source – satan. This is a time to pray and not pass judgment on either. The purpose of marriage is to reveal each other weaknesses. We that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. Although it is always heartbreaking and to me wrong for anyone to lay their hands on another individual. Things do happen and I believe the wrong party should quicly repent to the other. They are both God’s anointed and we should not place negative words on what belongs to God. I can’t blame the publishers. If they were spending time building a relationship with the Lord and not wasting time digging into others’ affairs on this testing ground, they would have known better than to attempt destroying the testimony of God.

Additionally, the snitch should return reporters’ calls now. I wonder why he is backing down when his urge to get the news out has been fulfilled. If I were him, I would repent to God and apologize to this family for betraying them. He was no helper in the first place when he so-called stopped the fight. I am concerned with the number of unsaved ministers emerging today– treating the gospel as a profession as opposed to a calling. Many of their churches become big while their members go unsaved or remain on milk, because they do not read/know the Word. If Christ is from the bible but people don’t study the bible, how can they still say they are Christians (i.e., followers of Christ)? This is an impossibility.

If you are concerned that you are following men/women while having no real knowledge of scripture, humble yourself and pray this:
“Dear God, I recognize that I may be zealous for you but it is not based on knowledge. By violating any of your 10 commandments (i.e., lying, stealing, using your name in vain, etc.), I recognize that you see me as a sinner, and therefore I am in need of a savior. I believe and confess that this savior is Jesus Christ, who died for my sins, and was then raised from the dead by you. The bible says there is no other way to you but by your Son. By simply believing this truth, I now know that I am saved”.

If you earnestly pray this, you will immediately receive the holy spirit, and it will enable you to understand bible scripture on your own. Still search for sound bible teaching. You will then grow as you continue to study and pray, rightfully dividing this Word of truth. No man will be able to deceive you.

I pray for the Weeks family during these troublesome times. In spite of their current crisis, they are yet human and yet chosen of God. We as people must be very careful how we discuss issues of this nature when they arise, for we can only pray that God will keep us during the hour of temptation. I’m praying for the entire situation. I survived abuse after two decades of marrige. I hid it from the church and my family. I’m actually glad this “christian” behavior is finally exposed. Maybe now, things will truly change.

First of all, there are no Prophets to day other than those in the Bible. We don’t need this ” TV Evangelist” worship. So many so-called monisters, preachers, evangelists, teachers, pastors will begin a sermon with one or two verses..then..it becomes a long drawn out lecture ( ususally better fitted for a socioliogist, psychiatrist, or salesman) than a person of God. In other words teach the Word chapter by chapter and verse by verse, precept upon precept and take the personal agendas out of the pulpit. So much is taught today based on tradition that is non scriptual. As an example, Easter, what happened to Passover? Easter, bunnies, eggs, that is a pagan holiday. The name is an abomination to the Father. He is not happy with that foolishness.

I pray for Sister Bynum and her husband, we all fall short.. When we do repent and we are forgiven. no opne is perfect from the pulpit to the back door of the church.

I just have one question: i keep hearing people talk about “dont touch God’s annointed” when in reality, we need to stop thinking that every single man or woman that CLAIMS to know God or preach His Word is ANNOINTED! The only one who truly knows who is annointed is the God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

I am a Pastor but also an Advocate for women who are involved in domestic violence. I teach and preach about the dynamics and devastation of DV and how to stay safe. The church is no exception. The devil would like for us to think that it doesn’t happen to Christians, but it does. Now that the devil has been exposed I am hoping that more Pastors will allow me to come into their churches to share the message of hope eliminating the tumultuous ramifications of being a victim of DV. I am concerned that Prophetess Bynum and Bishop Weeks have had their marital matters dealt with in such a public way. However, I honestly believe it is better for this matter to be addressed today rather than at her burial. While a supporter of Prophetess Bynum as a woman and a believer, I am not prepared to take sides or pass judgement. However, I am prepared to pray.

Let’s refrain from being so judgemental. I personally joined in the conversation with friends stating all of the things I would have done if it had been me, but the truth of it all is that IT WASN’T ME! I don’t know their situation, I do know that the media will inflate the truth to make the story more appealing. I don’t know why Bishop Weeks chose to respond in such a distastful way or what, if anything, was done to provoke him.

I supported her then and I will support her even more during this trying time.

Be reminded we must die daily to ourselves. The flesh is NEVER a willing participant in the things of God. Warfare is never fair.

Sadly, the couple brought their own business into the public.
If a crime was committed, citizens should have reported what they saw and cooperated with law enforcement. Regarding “anointed”: Many of you who are defining people as “anointed” will turn around and tell others “not to judge”, but are you not judging? You are trying to do something that only God can do: Know people’s hearts, and define who is the real believer and WHO IS THE ANOINTED. I believe IT IS A SIN TO IDOLIZE PEOPLE just because they give good sermons, write good books, or get a lot of attention from the media. They could be evil, destructive, or cruel to others away from the public eye, or emotionally disturbed in such a way that they hurt others. In my opinion, every truly good hearted person who is obedient to the Spirit of God within his/her life is anointed.

Pray for Mr Weeks he allowed satan to take control of him and he have to go on his knees and ask god for forgiveness then his wife. We also have to pray for Juanita that she will rise above this. This is for Imogean Shaw it is not good to rejoice about someone downfall even if you do not like the person it is her money if she wants a lavish wedding it is her business. Sounds more like a permanent storm to me. They are already separated and then he beats her up. Why did they get separated? Almost looks like its not the first time he’s done it. She would have to be high on dope to go back to him. Lets be honest, if we dig deep, we’ll find a lot of dirt about this couple. She just needs to move on and find another man. And before she marries him, watch for the signs which means dating him for a few years to know him better.

All things work together for good for those that love Him and are called according to his purposes. Jesus said that if you love me then keep my commandments. The second commandment he gave is to love our neighbor as ourselves. Beating your neighbor or wife is not a sign of love and a violation of his commandment. When we violate His commandments we are not showing love to Jesus so all thing may not work together for our good because at that moment we are not loving Him. All actions have consequences and it is disturbing to see Christians justifying or making excuses for this behavior. If she has to leave this marriage I hope the Christian community doesn’t come down on her. Sometimes women stay in abusive relationships and pay the ultimate price…their lives. There is no room to put on aires that everything is ok now when it is not. Or spiritualize a crime that was committed. No doubt there will be many that will rally around Min. Weeks and excuse his behavior. Others will say that this is the work of satan without acknowledging that satan operates through people. That’s why Jesus called Peter satan when he told him to get behind him. If satan was attacking, he was attacking through Min. Weeks. Assault and battery is a crime and the fact that this happened in a public setting only highlights this atrocity. I pray for them both but if they need to go separate ways then so be it.

That’s what’s wrong now we’re always in everyone else’s business. They will either be together or go their different ways. Let go and Let God. It’s not our business.

Where do you get off Nina saying that the man that broke up the assault was a snitch. A crime was being committed and needed to be reported. It’s that kind of mentality that keeps crime rampant in the black neighborhood. Look the other way would seem to be your answer.

I just want to say that I too believe that the saints hide behind the scriptures when the scriptures tell us plainly that the law is for the lawless. When a PERSON (Bishops, Pastor, Prophets included)begins to act in a way that is not conducive to holiness and starts breaking land laws then they are out of the ark of safety and subject to the laws that govern the land. You cannot judge a situation that has already been judged. If you do this then you get the appropriate punishment.

And, I want to ask Clay, who thinks that there are no prophets on earth, to do some homework bro. God says that nothing will go on in the world unless he informs the prophet. Somebody will have to let you know. I’m willing to bet that your relationship with God is not one that will allow you to know without a prophet.

As I read all these comments it amazed me to see all of the “do not touch God’s anointed”, and “judge not lest ye be jubged” , it seems like these people don’t even know what this mean. When David spoke about God’s anointed , it was in refrence to an anointed king . Saul was anointed to be king by God who instructed a prophet to anointed him as king and so was David . The high priest was also anointed by God’s instruction ,Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit to be our king he is also our high priest if anyone else is anointed which role are they using the king our high priest , that will nullify the position of Jesus , a bishop is not anointed nor a pastor or prophet that is just blasphemy and abot judging ,we are not called to judge on anyone pertaining heaven or hell , we cannot that a person is going to hell because God is the judge ,we cannot say a person is going to heaven because God is the judge but if a person does something in the open we must speak on it , Bishop Bynum is going to court and someone will pass judgement ,will that be wrong or is he above the law ,I just hope he seeks forgiveness from God who is able to forgive to the uttermost but he must still deal with the consequences and i hope she put all her effort in Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to direct her path because all eyes are on the church but for us who believe in God we know that things are going to get far worse as the end draw near and those in the faith who can be shaken will be shaken an loose out on eternity

Dear God! Can we forget the public image of this suffering couple for a minute? We are all just children of God. Both of these human beings are in pain right now. The woman, who is a woman like me and any woman, is in physical and emotional pain from the beating she received from the man she loved enough to marry. Stop stoning her with her own words that she wrote out of love for all women! The man, who is a man like any man, is in emotional pain from the God awful thing he did to the woman he loved enough to marry. Stop lynching him! We don’t have the right. The woman is entitled to medical care, the man to a fair trial. And, like it or not, they might decide to stay married or to divorce, but it is their choice to make. Lord have mercy on us all!

I am so sorry and deeply hurt that this has happened to my sister, a jewel in the Body of Christ; Please to everyone reading this note continue to pray for this marriage. The prayers of the righteous avails much; Can WE pray? Can WE intercede?

Stop the madness!!! Why is it always the plight of the masses to find the one at fault and to condemn them? Clearly they both need to seek help. As much as we need to pray for Juanita (she will be alright) we truly need to pray for Bishop Weeks. It is apparent that he too is obviously hurting. We need to pray that his dis-ease be quenched by the spirit.
I pray as one commentator mentioned that they seek help and become honest with each other and most of all with themselves. You know we must first acknowledge where we are, how we got here before we can move forward.

So many times we make a mess and want God to bless our mess but GOD is not the author of confusion. GOD is LOVE, not hate, strife, wickedness, etc.
Isaiah 54:17 says, let no weapon formed against you prosper but we must be careful that we don’t form our own weapons of destruction against our own selves and those close to us. Mr.& Mrs., I pray that you both get real with each other and realize you must earn your way out of this the fighting, cussing, abusive public display is just the evidence of things going or gone out of control. You two are adults and should be able to agree to disagree, if not get a mediator for sure. I have not read anywhere where it says that marriage is a piece of cake but if you begin to work on you and let him work on him and allow GOD to make the difference you will be able to reconcile this marriage or find peace to go on. It’s not just Bishop Weeks, it’s all leaders in the Body of Christ. We must consistently pray for our leaders. We all are subjected to temptation on a daily basis but me must think first. The only power that satan has is the power of temptation, suggestion and thoughts. To act on his temptations is a choice we make without considering the consequences.

This is not an attack of satan. This is allow by God to correct us. If we never confront our own personal issues, we will never overcome.

Refrain from judging, but be free to PRAY.

May God continue to give all of us another chance to correct our wrong for we too have some things that we need to correct in our lives. We too have some form of strong hold that needs to be addressed.

The credibility of the church is on the line. We hav a loud shout but we are losing our clout.

Keep in mind that while people are following PEOPLE, they should ONLY be FOLLOWING CHRIST JESUS. ‘And he gave some prophets, some apostles, some evangelists, some teachers, and some preachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the kingdom and the edifying of the Body of Christ.’ The sole purpose for the men and women of the Body of Christ is to show others HOW to follow GOD, not follow themselves or any other man/woman for that matter. This is 87% of the problem today in the Church Body. Remember Jim Jones, Jimmy Swaggert, Jim Baker,… the list goes on and on. People were following them and where did they end up following them to? Let downs and for some, even death! We should be encouraging people to follow Christ Jesus, for He is the ONLY perfect and Holy One, without sin. People should be taught to press their way into a breakthrough, yes, but they should also be taught how to ‘study to show THYSELF approved.’ Read the word for themselves instead of expecting the men and women of God to do all the work for them (us). Unfortunately, we’ll never know when something like this could happen again and people need not expect the Pastors to have faith FOR them. At some point, we should all have faith for ourselves. Get off the milk, already. That way, when and if this type of thing occurs, the ‘followers’ as you call them, can pray for the Pastors when they need it. We should be praying for all anyway and not just when the mess hits the fan!

I just want to say that I am really disturbed that this has happened, but what I will say is that everyone has fault. There is no one out there that is perfect, and just because you are saved doesn’t mean that you are delivered from everything. The bible says let every man work out his own salvation. If you are a sinner one day and get saved the next, doesn’t mean that everything that you did wrong is going to stop right then at that point. It is a process. Yes he is a man of God and is held at a higher level, by man and God, but the only on who has the right to judge him is God. I am deeply sorry that this has happened to Juanita because I truly respect who she is in Christ. All I can say at this point is that Yes we all know that it happened, but instead of looking down at him, lets pray that God will touch him and deliver him from this spirit and pray that this situation will make her stronger in the Lord. We need to encourage our brothers and sisters when they fall, because we have thing that we struggle with on a day to day basis, that people may not even know about, but God does. I just pray that he comes to repentence and let God minister to his heart as well as his wife’s. May God lead and guide both of them and may this event be to His Glory alone.

I’ve seen all the verbal abuse Juanita has dished out during here screaming tirades years on TBN; all while peddling the gospel.

All things work together for good for those that love Him and are called according to his purposes.

Jesus said that if you love me then keep my commandments. The second commandment he gave is to love our neighbor as ourselves.

Beating your neighbor or wife is not a sign of love and a violation of his commandment.

When we violate His commandments we are not showing love to Jesus so all thing may not work together for our good because at that moment we are not loving Him.

All actions have consequences and it is disturbing to see Christians justifying or making excuses for this behavior. If she has to leave this marriage I hope the Christian community doesn’t come down on her.

Sometimes women stay in abusive relationships and pay the ultimate price…their lives. There is no room to put on aires that everything is ok now when it is not.

Or spiritualize a crime that was committed. No doubt there will be many that will rally around Min.

Weeks and excuse his behavior. Others will say that this is the work of satan without acknowledging that satan operates through people. That’s why Jesus called Peter satan when he told him to get behind him.

If satan was attacking, he was attacking through Min. Weeks. Assault and battery is a crime and the fact that this happened in a public setting only highlights this atrocity.

I pray for them both but if they need to go separate ways then so be it.

These guys are in for the money – both Juanita and her crazy husband! When will the poor American people wake up and realize that religion is nothing other than people taking advantage of the poor, uneducated and ignorant souls? All these guys are simply running informercials on TBN to get your money! All of them, from Paul and Jan to TD Jakes to that creature called Benny Hinn! Give me a break. These people will never see my dime!

Let it be known that there is an all out attack on covenant relationships. Because Prophetess Bynum operates at a high level of spiritual warfare, she becomes vulnerable to high level attacks. NEVERTHELESS, recognize this: David lusted, comitted adultery, and had the woman’s husband killed. Yet the BIBLE establishes David as Prophet, Priest and King! Who can phanthom the depth of God’s Love! There is grace and mercy available at the Mercy seat for these extraordinary leaders. TOUCH NOT HIS ANOINTED.
THE FATHER WILL DEAL WITH HIS CHILDREN AS HE SEES FIT!

I know this will sound harsh to some, but it’s time for the Church to grow up.

The issue at hand is what occurred between this husband and wife, but sadly, abuse occurs everyday in somebody’s household. No woman or man should be abused by their spouse. The underlying issue however, is that not everyone standing in a pulpit has been put there by God. Jesus said that in the last days there would be false prophets. The bible says these folks would even be able to deceive the elect, if that were possible. Where is the evidence that these folks are called by God? There is more evidence to the contrary, but folks are determined make excuses and clean up behind these people. The same thing happened with Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggert, Ted Haggard, Clarence McClendon, ad infinitum. What’s it going to take for folks to stop supporting these folks and their money-making enterprises!

No matter how we or the world view this situation…the bottom line is God is the judge and our job is to pray for both of them so that the Holy Spirit will began to heal…I don’t know either of them personally, but certainly the body of Christ as a whole is affected, but know that from this situation, WE will still praise the Lord and testify of how HE will bring some good out of what was a horrible unfortunate situation…

Again, pray and not judge!

If I understand correctly, Bishop and Juanita Weeks were meeting alone to try and RECOCILE. Maybe they need to meet with someone if they LOVE each other. There is a thin line between love and hate. Do we know the circumstances that led to the split? Do we know what caused the attack? Until we KNOW let’s not judge, but pray that God brings about what’s best for them both. A second grader’s test is easier than a thesis for your Ph. D. These Ph. D’s have a hard test to pass, let’s help them get through it.

This is a prime example for why God says ” do not base your faith on the knowledge of man but on the power of God”. Alot of christians are hurting now because of this situation, church hurt is nothing to play with, it has a long lasting effect on people, I have been going through that for some time now, God can give us all we need, not man or woman.

We must be very careful as ministers of the Gospel. Becacause we are called to a higher standard than the lay member. The both of them are aware that this is the law of receprocity. You can not go to a mans church to preach one day, meet him and his wife then all of a sudden decide that you want him and that God gave him to you when he was already married to someone else. As a man and head, you also have to accept accountability for already having a wife and because the famous juanita bynum wants you, you discard the wife God gave you. Furthermore, they were warned after she miscarried that chiled in the bahamas, that she was not supposed to marry that man. She was to repent. I am hurt that the public has had to suffer such disgrace.

I am praying for them both! The Scripture says: When a man ways pleases the Lord; He will make his enemy be at peace with him. We please God when we walk in the Spirit because there is no good thing in the flesh! The Flesh can’t please God and if we aren’t subject to God the Flesh will take dominion and this is the results! If they become Godly Sorry; this marriage and their lives can be restored through their submission to God. God is a forgiving God and they must forgive one another!

The fact that they were already separated makes me wonder has this happened before and maybe she left him for her own safety. Also, they met at a public location which also makes me think that she didn’t want to meet this man, her husband, in a private location due to concern about her safety. Of course, this is all speculation but the truth is that a “christian” man has beat his wife. Christians should be outraged and in prayer at the same time. The bible does not tell us NOT to be angry. We, as Christians should be angry. This is unacceptable behavior for believers. This doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t forgive but please pray for this man and all men like him. And PLEASE pray for Juanita and all women like her who have endured rage and physical abuse from the men that are our husbands. God can heal the wounded and broken. I pray that she will be made whole again through Christ Jesus and use this as a testimony to others who are experiencing the same turmoil in their relationships. God is the only answer.

I have read the comments and while I understand and agree with most the one thing I do not understand is why do we insist on treating our leaders like they are infallible not prone to mistakes. Stop looking at the fact that they are spiritual leaders and look at the fact that they are human beings prone to error. Prone to make mistakes. THEY ARE HUMAN striving for the crown which means that they will make mistakes! This was a couple having problems and trying to work it out, things truly got out of hand. My main concern is that what ever was said caused this man to snap. I mean he was to the point that if the doorman had not pulled him off of her he could have killed her. What could have possibly made him that angry. It is horrible because this goes on in and out of the church because people refuse to see and accept the human side of christianity. It is really sad because if this went on in the marriage, then she became like most women determine to stick it out for love instead of leaving. Then to be a leader of God it is even harder because it is as if we are not allowed to have human moments and fall because of fear of being judged. People has judge them for getting married and now they will be judged for this. Already people are taking sides instead of praying for their broken souls. I can only imagine what the two are feeling ar this moment. Apart from their love and now this. The disappointment that they must feel. I Just wanted to to say( Romans 8:28) all things work together for the good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose. What then?…His wife is now faced with the difficult decision of pressing charges or not. Even though she is a Godly person and has forgiven him already out of her love for God and her husband, if it happens once, it can happen twice. THEN WHAT? Forgive him again?…..yes… BUT, if no charges are pressed…he’ll just go through spiritual imprisonment which can possibly cause him to be even more prone to commit another act of violence.In pre-conclusion, I believe he should serve the average penalty for his actions.
If charged…the smartest thing for him to do would be to ask for solitary confinement and….a Bible:}

We are living in a time when God is calling each of us to have a very intimate relationhip with Him. God stated in the Word that He is a jealous God. He will allow no other gods before Him. No man has the right to beat/hit woman. Coming from an abusive relationship—something that I was very shameful of I had to pray and move on, before my husband killed me. Out of this terrible nightmare I became a strong woman to testify to other women that are going through abusive relationships to get out–and save yourself. Juanita, testimony is going to reach and help a multitude of people—all genders and all races both men and woman. Even as shameful this situation is—facing will bring the healing.

for any human being to beat another human being with so much hate was an act of satan. he is the creator of hatred. When you have a personal relationship with the Father, you seek the Kingdom first. Weeks has some serious problems only God can remove. I , would like to THANK GOD for sparing the life of Juanita Bynum and also pray that things work out for the best for her. As far as her husband is concerned I am glad that he were stopped in his act and were caught because she may have been like I were and that is afraid to cry out for help. This is one of the awful things that we are experiencing here in todays sosciety and this issue needs to be address more . There are so many women and men that need to be helped in this situation and hopefully this will be a instance where because this has happen to one of our top spirtual leaders that it will bring about a change . I have read enough and those who are attacking the Prophtess lets me know we’re truly in the last days, how cohorts of the devil have the audacity to speak ill of her in the manner I find so offensive. She is an annointed vessel of god and I have followed her ministry for over a decade. The only person she and we need to answer to is Jehovah Jirah our provider, Jehovah Rapha, he’s the only one who can heal this world and this situation. Who are we to judge and cast them down? Believe it or not, Our parents who started the human race were ADam and Eve, the deception caused them to fall but god forgave them. In saying this, prophetess is the decendants as well as we, isn’t she not human! Can evil spirits afflict us at times and cause this sort of shame to be upon us. I still have faith and know that deep down when she recovers, god will releash his out pouring of the greater and latter anointing on her that the message she has from all of this will bring the back-sliders, sinners and cohorts of the devils to know that God has the glory and he will allow whatever to come upon us becuase he’s God!! He can do whatever and whenever he wants too. I must say, that those who have discredit this woman of God, best to believe, god will punish those and cause 911 to be in the lives of those who have mocked his annointed one and him. This woman is a powerful woman of god and she will bounce back, because she has a lot in her. The lord has invested too much in here for the enemy to just come in and completely destroy her. This is for the glory of god, there must be a shaking in both of their lives in order for them to preach to others. So we need not pass judgement, judgement belongs to God and only him.

I have thought about Juanita everyday since the terrible tragedy happened. I believe that God is showing us “that the heart is desperately wicked, who can know it?” Only God can truly know the depths of our heart. Junanita did not know the depths of evil in that man. He probably did not know it himself. God is showing women that we really need to know a man before we get let our hearts get involved and that takes TIME. As annointed as Juanita is and she was fooled, do the rest of us not need to be ever so careful. I’m sure she never dreamed in a million years that her husband and man of God would do such a thing, but people are WICKED especially if they are not walking close to God. It is obvious that HE WAS NOT!!! If she decides to take him back that is her choice but I wouldn’t trust him any futher than I can see him. Sure you are told to forgive and I’m sure she has. That is just the kind of godly woman that she is. I love Juanita and all women because we have it so hard with men these days. Our only hope is in the Lord. He will see us through. True, the bible tells us to “not touch the anointined and do His prophets no harm”. However, the issue at stake is not the anointing or their calling. This man should go to jail and suffer the consequences of his actions. As for both of them, why the cover up? Shouldn’t they have stopped ministry and reconciled before the explosion? The word tells us that if we are at ought with our spouses and it is not resolved, He doesn’t hear us. These people are generals in God’s army. Many people follow them. Many souls are their responsiblity. They need not to return to ministry until they are healed.

FOLKS!!! This is not a game! Come right with God. Past sensationalism and commercializing the gospel, we need rightousness restored in the earth. And it starts with our leaders.

Many sheep in this time has gone scattered because of these action. WHERE are the prophets? Why do we have to hear from the secular media about this? Who will stand and address the people of God, and stop the confusion and distress? Were are the Paul’s, who at the very sound of a rumor, brought it to light and addressed it with authority, and encourage the people of God.

This is not a private matter. These actions caused a ripple effect throughout the world. The world is watch what will we do next.

I say, pray for both of them and strengthen them. It doesn’t matter what title you have or how “anointed” you may be, first you are human and children of God. God is still a Just God and requires a greater standard being leaders.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were chosen. Moses was hand picked by God. David was God’s anointed. We know that each of these had their falls… But the fall was not the end of the story. God’s victory and deliverance are the overwhelming themes in the lives of these.

May we keep all in prayer, may we pray for all like we are in there situation. Earnestly praying like when Elijah prayed for it not to rain for 3 years, and his prayer was answered. The Lord said,”by this they will know that you are my disciples, if you love….one another. May we all…love each other, not thinking more of ourselves as we ought to think as Paul says. Praying in faith, reading the Bible daily, that we may put out the fiery missles of the enemy-Ephe 6:13-18.

If the Lord already overcame the world then it is overcome. If the Lord said for the slave is not greater than his Master. Then as Jesus suffered we will suffer. If the Lord said peace I leave with you, and peace I give to you, then we will also have peace. Please…I can’t say this enough read the Bible for yourselves. It’s as the crafty serpent decieved Eve, we need to know the word of God that we may not be carried away by any wind of doctrine as Paul says.

If we are reading, and we get to know the true and living God, then we can teach the gospel to others. We must stand firm, no matter what trial we go through, knowing that it only makes us stronger. Please….know that man is not perfect, and the word says that the righteous will fall seven times and get back up again. If we are truly seeking God for ourselves then we need not put the blame on anyone but ourselves if we have followed someone else, they also have their own issues.

When I go to church I go to be fed in spirit with the word of God, but if the pastor does not feed me the word, I WILL EAT IT FOR MYSELF. The Lord is our daily bread. Remember in the beginning of John the word says,”in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God, and He(Jesus) was in the beginning with God. Which means Jesus our Lord was in the beginning with God the Father. The Lord was the Word, our daily bread, so we must read our word to seek Him.

May we not point fingers but fast and pray with all…sincerity. For we serve an awesome God, a spontaneous God who walked among the streets not planning His days out but healing the sick, and sitting in the midst of sinners. At times when we make wrong decisions, and mistakes, God is the only one who truly forgives us because He knows our hearts. We need to look upon others as the Lord does, and forgive. If we do not forgive, we will not be forgiven. Just think about Bishop Weeks for a minute, we don’t know how he feels or if he’s beating himself up about what he did, and God will still forgive him.

When the adulteress came to Jesus there were those who talked about her, and wanted to stone her to death, but what did Jesus say, him who has no sin, cast the first stone, and they all walked away. Why? because they could not condemn her, or they would be condemned. They had a plank or two in there own eye.

When we think of the lifestyles we lived before we became new creatures in Christ, think about Bishop Weeks, for as we asked for forgiveness for our evil ways, and God forgave us, God will also forgive Bishop Weeks.

Saints I hope we all live Christlike, and be true…disciples and servants of the Lord, each after God’s own heart, as king David. Then we will really know the Lord’s will for all…His children, for God wants none to perish. Love and blessings to all of you…

Well…can you say DRAMA!!!

Juanita went from rags to riches…

Then she married a no count jack preacher…

Juanita leaves Tom because he was physically abusing her…

Tom beats the CFO of his church, chocking, body slamming and stomping her.

The wounded CFO asks two female church co=workers to take her to the hospital for emergency treatment but Juanita enlists the help of the co-workers and pursuades the beaten CFO not to go for treatment becauce the beating would be reported to the police…

Then Tom calls the police falsely tells the police he just grabbed the lady by the arm and escorded her from the church property because he fired her and she got into an argument with her. The CFO had been working for Tom for more than 10 years (way before he met and married Juanita)The CFO is still on the church payroll.)

Because he couldn’t hang he was evicted from their 2.4 mil pad…

Tom decided to ban Juanita from the church she co-founded…

Still a failure, Tom meets with Juanita to reconcile…
Something happened and Tom beat, choaked, kicked and stomped Juanita…

Tom runs away from the crime scene.

Juanit goes for medical treatment but leaves before the police come.

Juanita files charges against Tom for the brutal beating (but later tells a TBN television audience and Atlanta television news reported that even though she filed to divorce Tom, she was no going to say anything agains Tom because he is a good and brilliant man.

Juanita Also says that even though she was divorcing Tome this time…she would marry him a second time because she still loves him.

Tom files a formal response to all of this by saying that the devel made him do it and the media made things look worse than the were/are. Besides Tom says: “There are two sides to every story” and the rest of the story has not been told yet.

I wonder what’s next?

Don’t be surprised…probably more DRAMA!!!

What a couple of slimy criminals. Anybody who believes that crap is way past due for a head check.

The DA should pick up the case. Just because she is a women of God does not give him the right to walk. I hope his church sat him down.

i am sad about everything that happened to the woman of God but i know that God will intervene. the devil meant it for her disgrace but God will turn it for her good and all eyes will see it. we are praying for you
