Many people are calling the upcoming version of the Chevrolet Camaro a 2008 model, but it is a common mistake the Camaro actually goes into production in 2008 and will not be available until 2009. It seems as this new Camaro is going to embrace the future by giving the interior a futuristic look, will that is if the concept is anything to go by but the interior will possible be the first thing that gets changed.

Way back in 2002 Chevrolet decided to mothball the name Camaro after 40 years of huge sales which then slowly dwindled to small numbers. But Chevrolet have decided to bring the good name back, and all true Americans will be proud to go to work one morning in 2008 to start producing the 2009 Camaro, and if that was not good enough there will be a convertible model due in 2010.
If you take a close look at the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro you can see that the styling has been passed on to the 2009 Camaro, just look at the grille and also the slats on both the front and rear wheels. Before we try and get on with this review of what information we have, please remember that Chevrolet have been very secretive about certain aspects of the model like its dimensions., but if you was to go by the looks then you can see that the new Camaro is slightly larger than previous models.

When we have seen the 2008 or 2009 Chevrolet Camaro, whatever you want to call it the concept’s show us that the engine configuration could at a 6.0-liter V-8, hopefully producing around 400hp, although there could be other engines of choice like a 3.9-liter V-6 engine with produces 250 horsepower, this could be the price leading model. You will get a choice of either manual or automatic transmission; both will be 6-speed.
The 2009 Camaro will be rear wheel drive; well you don’t want all that power going to the wheels that are steering you as you would go through your tires quick. Do not expect the new 2009 Chevrolet Camaro to take a place in history like other models have, as there are plans for at least 100,000 units to be produced every year. Expect the price of your new Camaro to depreciate.

Early indications of the 2008 produced Chevrolet Camaro are to start around $25,000 that is for the V-6 version, please remember that all this information is from early information that is available.
Once we have more details then we will give you a full review of the 2009 Chevrolet Camaro.
