U.S. Presidential hopeful Ron Paul turned the grand age of 72 on August 20th, however the Texas congressman will be restraining from the grand celebrations until August 26th when he will be attending his Birthday BBQ bash.

A BBQ bash in honor of Ron Paul has been organized by his campaign team and is set to commence at the Doyle Convention Center in Texas City, Texas and all Ron Paul supporters are invited to attend this birthday celebration.

Ron Paul appears to be an online favorite, partly because of more freedoms and less regulation of the Internet, however he is trailing in the polls with the Republican CNN Opinion Research Corporation Poll showing him receiving only 1% of the vote.

At the age of 72 is Ron Paul too old to be the next U.S. President?

Who will be getting your vote in the 2008 elections?

Dr. Paul will be getting my vote.
I turned 53 today, am I too old to vote?

A vote for Ron Paul is not only sensible, it’s imperative for any American who professes to want freedom. I don’t want a police state as is being created under the pretext of fighting terrorists. If Ron Paul wins, we have a chance to remain a free republic. If not, we’re doomed.

    Not too old.
    Has my vote.

If you are Ted, then I am too.

It’s hard to win a polls that are skewed or only poll the “right” people. Just because MSM says there’s no showing doesn’t mean a thing.

Ron Paul too old to be the next U.S. President?

He’s a doctor! I think they all live into their 90s now.

Granted, he would be the oldest president ever elected, so a vast lifetime of experience, consistent libertarian principles, and healthy living will get my vote every time.

He’ll be getting my vote too.

By the way, if you discredit internet popularity entirely, you’ll have to discredit that 1% poll too. Otherwise it’s pretty inconsistent.

I’ve been increasingly loosing faith in the national phone polls. They may well be becoming obsolete, as they certainly don’t represent what I’ve seen in life, or on the internet which seems more in touch with the people. Probably because it is the people. ;) Also let us not forget the local Straw Polls. It’s a bit hard to find this information on the MSM, so here is a link to a site that tallys his results so far.

Anyways, Ron will certainly be getting my vote as well. Age is irelavant, what matters is the ideals of the canidate, and how well he can be trusted to stick by them. Ron has firmly won me over on both counts.

Ted, you made me laugh!! That’s right. As long as you are alive and as sharp as Ron Paul, you bet he is not too old to be President. In Bush’s cases, he was younger but look at what a mess he created. Age is not the important factor here folks. Why would anyone even suggest that? Who the hell is Simon anyway?

You can die at any age. For Ron Paul 72 definitely not too old. He would get my vote at 80.

  11. Ronald Roy on August 23rd, 2007 3:30 pm

I have now become a republican only because of Ron Paul

He gets my vote even if he is 100 y/o

    RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2008

  12. josh on August 23rd, 2007 5:39 pm

He is in better shape than me, and I am 22. I am not that out of shape either. I’d say he has another 10 good years in him …easy.

  13. mnjrupp on August 23rd, 2007 5:51 pm

I wouldn’t care if Dr. Paul was in a wheel chair and able to only speak through artificial means like Steve Hawkins.
As long as his mind is sharp and his ideas are able to be conveyed to a foot-soldier to be carried out, while in office, I would vote for him.
Why would anyone who has an understanding of Jeffersonian ideas vote for anyone else!

  14. vat on August 23rd, 2007 6:03 pm

Ron Paul is not too old. He has my vote. I am staying registered as a Republican to vote for Dr. Paul. Ron Paul is the only reason I remain a Republican.
He honestly is the only hope America has at this time. He is a great man.

If you agree with Ron Paul please sign the petition to Abolish the Federal Reserve.

Now in August 2007, the world financial systems and investment markets, real estate and the availability of credit are all under direct assault due to past actions of the Federal Reserve in the United States.

Read and sign the Ron Paul Is Right – Abolish the Federal Reserve Petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/fed/petition.html

Please link to the petition and forward this message to your friends and help the general public wake up during the current financial panic conditions to the problems we face from the Federal Reserve and Ron Paul’s solution.

Also read comments from hundreds of signers who aren’t shy in saying what they think of the FED.

I am a fairly new Paul observer. To date, I have spent almost a month studying Paul’s public positions, comments, and speeches, and a lot more time studying misguided foreign policy activities. As yet, I cannot find any flaws or warning signs in Paul’s positions, even though I have researched dissenter comments. As for the other candidates, both Democratic and Republican, I am finding it hard to follow the logic and reasoning. In fact, some so-called top tier candidates baffle me entirely, either through their inconsistencies, twists and turns of “logic,” and “nuanced” positions. At least, I can follow Ron Paul’s logic–he must not be too old. I don’t have an excuse for many of the other “younger” candidates.

And Mr. Holland, thanks for the petition–I’ve signed it.
