Maserati 718 Quattroportes get recalled after traction control issue
By: Peter Chubb | August 22, 2007 | Leave a Comment
What actually happens with the Maserati 718 Quattroportes traction control system and stability control system is that a low voltage threshold causes the system to prematurely shutdown. Before people get worried this system error will not cause the anti-lock brakes shutdown as they will still continue to work normally.
Not all of the Maserati Quattroporte cars are affected, only the 718 versions. When these vehicles receive their recall, they will get a replacement electronic control unit, which should then eliminate the traction control and stability control problem.
