Ford Taurus heading for Korea

Ford is to launch their popular Taurus model in Korea, and should be ready for sale later this month. When the Ford Taurus goes up for sale in Korea it will be in direct competition with the Kia Opirus, which as a funny twist is also up for sale in the U.S but under the name Kia Amanti.

Nothing will change with the Korean version of the Ford Taurus so the vehicle will have the same spec as the U.S version, so they will be getting the same V6 3.6L engine which produces 263-hp, there will also be the same six-speed automatic transmission. Ford knows who their competition is, so they will not be going head to head with the likes of Lexus.

The Ford Taurus has now being selling in the U.S for twenty years now and has always been a top selling car, which is why Ford wants to try and cash in on other markets so Korea seemed like the perfect choice.

Do you think that the Ford Taurus is the right choice of car for the Korean market?
