Pro Beach US Volleyball: Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Stunned

Pro Beach US Volleyball went into Boston this week and although the beach volleyball was great, it was a bit of a shock for the favourite volleyball players.

Pro Beach US Volleyball favourites Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh ended up being totally stunned by the volleyball being played by Elaine Youngs and Nicole Branagh as the supposedly “best” volleyball duo at the event lost 15-21, 21-19, 16-14.

This is the first time this has happening in the sport since the Paris Grand Slam in July 2006

May-Treanor and Walsh were both gold medallists at the Athens Olympics in 2004 but this lost ended a streak of 21 consecutive championship match victories.
