Own an Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii: Do I buy a Sony PS3 for Blu-ray

I brought an Xbox 360 as soon as they came out a long time ago and although it’s a known fact that they have overheating problems mine has never broke down, but it does get hot and is very noisy.
As I have a nice big collection of Xbox 360 games I will not change console now, but I did buy a Nintendo Wii to see what all the fuss was about…I know why now.
While the Nintendo Wii is not my main games system for games that I play on my own, it does take over the gaming when we have people over.
The Nintendo Wii is amazing for groups of people and I have never known another gaming system so good at getting everyone involved at all ages, although the graphics are a bit rubbish it is the games console of choice when I have people over.
Now here is my problem:
If you were in my situation and owned the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, would you buy a Sony PS3 for just Blu-ray and Playstation 3 games that are not on the Xbox 360?

I love people who quote vgcharts and nextgenwars like they are correct. Both of these sites use estimates to assume how many consoles have been sold. They are always wrong. The only thing that is right is when the company says how many consoles have been shipped and sold. It is usually a month or two behind since it takes time to gather the numbers.
Xbox 360:Next gen has about 11.1 million sold and VG has about 10.4 million sold. Who is right? Neither. Micorsoft reports only 12 million SHIPPED so to it’s more likely they sold 10.5 million about before the price drop.
Anything Nintendo ships it sells. Sony states they shipped 6 millions units with about 4.48 million sold before the price drop. Only listen to numbers from the companies not to inaccurate sites like VG and Nextgen that take numbers from a few retailers and assume this is what it is for the world. It’s not accurate. period so don’t quote it.
Nintendo is doing fine. Sony is not crazy worried because they have some cool games out with more awesome games coming out next this September. They aren’t done because if they were nervous they would just lower the price to $400 and PS3’s would sale so fast it wouldn’t be funny.
Microsft has the lead but will lose it to Nintendo before the end of the year but they don’t care about Nintendo. They have a good price and awesome games so but a crappy unrealiable system. Why would anyone buy a 360 that doesn’t have one now? 360 has shown their cards. They are like we have Halo 3 but how systems will that sell? I know the game will sell like hotcakes but if it only sells like a million systems more there is a problem.
Sony knows there are going to sell a lot of systems this Christmas and a lot more for MGS4 and even more for FFXIII. These games are different genres so Someone might not buy the system for MGS4 might be waiting for FFXIII.
Microsoft has tons of FPS with Gears being so damn awesome. Now how many people who want Halo 3 did not like Gears enough to buy a 360? or BioShock enough to buy a 360?

PS3 and Xbox 360 are not good. Hard drive will get problems. Xbox 360 and PS3 have a lot of problems are overheat! But Nintendo Wii have solid hard drive(No move parts with no disk). PS3 and Xbox 360 need Solid Hard drives! It can not get overheat! Save more electric power use on video system. I don’t need Xbox 360 and PS3!
I can’t wait to see Nintendo Wii 2 in end of 2014 or early 2015! I hope Starcraft II will approve to play on Nintendo Wii 2!!!

Yes, because they are right. Lair, Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk are coming out extremely soon, and Uncharted as well as Ratchet and Clank are coming out this year as well.
Okay, the Xbox 360 is getting Halo 3. Extremely overrated and overhyped, but ‘ll give you that one. Mass Effect doesn’t look like a bad game, either. Bioshock isn’t and Xbox 360 exclusive, though.
Hmmm… more Mario-related games on a Nintendo system? Congratulations, you are giving in to the most milked franchise in the history of video games. Do you know how many Mario-related games there are? Over 200!
So, those are the mentionable exclusives for the Wii and Xbox 360. Here’s what the Playstation 3 is getting:

Hey Chris don’t waste your time naming PS3 games. People that hate on the PS3 just will continue to say it has nothing and ignore your list. The trendy thing to do is hate on the PS3 cuz 360 owners are afraid of maybe making the wrong purchase.
I give the Wii credit and I hope it last as I really like Nintendo as a company. I’m afraid it will be like Gamecube though. Awesome first party titles and subpar third party titles which is what it is right now.
At that “Guest” yeah everything you say is just false. PS3 has a .02% failure rate which is lower than the Wii at .05% which is still amazinly low as well too. I don’t even want to bring up the 360…..

A while ago, it seemed like everyone wanted to jump onto the “Hate the Playstation 3″ bandwagon. Nowadays, that number is lessening when gamers actually appreciate the console. From my experience with many Xbox 360 fanboys and owners, I’ve found out that too many of them deny the facts and ignorantly stick with their console. It’s like some of them are deaf to the truth.
Lol, let’s bring up the Xbox 360. The failure rate was 30-50%, correct?
i dont think its quite 30% i think the real figure is “under 10%” which still means a million consoles so far have failed, i have very little opinion of the ps3 so far, as my only exp on it is with some tennis game, where the graphics were excellent but the controller just felt too light to me, also it really wansnt a patch on Wii sports version of tennis.
i agree that there are a lot of ignorant x360 fanboys out there, but id also argue there are many on the ps3 side whjo are even worse, i mean for all its merits it is being outsold by everything, with many analysts commenting that the only real battle in the entire charts was for last but one spot and was between the PS3 and a Game boy adance!
that is an impressive list there, but i cant say id look forward to many of them, quite a few are just sequeals to games that wernt that fantastic or groundbreaking to begin with, but saying that so is halo 3 so meh
little point to all who hate the Wii/X360/Ps3 tho, without competition there would be no inovatation, we would all just be playing generic shooter 284:you might die before reading all the subtitles.
you want evidance look at EA, they produce solid titles but they were are all so uninspired until recently and bland until recently, it seems activision hammering them last year thanks to Guitar Hero 2 has woken them up and there are now quite a few titles that look to be a little more innovative and fun.
