In the Iowa Democratic debate yesterday, the Democratic Presidential candidates had one of the most heated discussions of the Iraq war of this campaign so far.
The differences in the candidates policies towards Iraq were vast. Some Democratic candidates wanted to pullout immediately whilst other wanted to plan a phased withdrawal and some even suggested partitioning the country.
The Governor Bill Richardson was one of the figures in the Democratic debate that voiced his support for a full and immediate withdrawal from Iraq.
However during the Democratic debate, some of the leading candidates seem to move towards a phased withdrawal from Iraq, as this is what brought peace in the Balkans.
