Harvard Universitys endowment

The nation’s largest university endowment, Harvard University has now grown to almost $35 billion in their last financial year. The actual figure was $34.9 billion; these endowment returns earned 23 percent in their fiscal year which ended in June 2007.

Their 23 percent increase beat the median of about 18 percent, this is great news for Harvard University as they depend on its endowment for their annual expenses, Harvard University managed to finance almost a third of their $1.1 billion operating from their endowment.
