GM spokesman Rob Peterson confirms the Chevy Volt will remain E85 capable
August 21, 2007 | Filed under Autos, Green, Hybrid Cars

Way back in January GM announced that they were working on the new Chevy Volt and that the feature known as the range extender and it would be flex-fuel capable. What that meant was the vehicle was able to run on either gasoline or E85.

Well that was when the rumors started; on the GM-Volt.com for example a source had said that the Chevy Volt would lose its capability to run on E85. However this does in fact sound like one of those nasty rumors, as Rob Peterson, a General Motors spokesman has actually confirmed that the Chevy Volt will still have its E85 capability on the production model. That is not all, as GM plan to have a diesel E-Flex version as well.
If you would like to see the Chevy Volt, then get yourself over to Germany next month for the for the Frankfurt Motor Show.
