Exclusive: Judd Apatow didn’t direct SuperBad

I’ve got some shocking news to share: Judd Apatow didn’t direct SuperBad. It came as a surprise to us too but he was only the producer on the film. It seems like the studio were trying to keep this a secret and boy did that secret pay off. Judd Apatow is now the hottest name in Hollywood when it comes to comedy movies.

It was actually Greg Mottola is the guy who made the film, and so now the film is hugely successful, we want to know what comes next for Greg. Well, news is that Motolla has signed on to direct Adventureland. The film, a period comedy, is set in the 1980’s and follows a college graduate who was prepared to spend his summer in Europe before starting Grad School. When his father is laid off, he finds himself stuck at his home in Long Island, NY and forced to get a job at a local amusement park called Adventureland.

The film is meant to be based on Mottola’s own experiences at Long Island’s actual Adventureland. Filming is set to begin this October in Pittsburgh.
