Category 5 Hurricane Dean is now approaching the Mexico shore as it lashes Belize and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.
The winds have reached 160mph at the center and this makes dean in the highest category of the well known Saffir-Simpson scale.
At 11pm Miami time the National Hurricane Center spoke about what this storm can do and that includes knocking down trees and signs, flood seaside buildings and rip off roofs.
We wish them the best of luck.
