The Piaggio MP3 HyS has got a lot of attention lately with more and more people looking for new images of this hybrid scooter. Piaggio have been using a test model with a 250cc engine, but the production model is expected to have a 125cc engine. However this smaller engine will not be a problem, as the electric motor in this hybrid Piaggio scooter adds a further 85 percent better acceleration, with a fraction more top end speed as well.

As the scooter is a hybrid it is all about the environment, which is why there is a cool switch on the dash which allows you to chose from either economic travel or better performance.

As we said before there is to be a Vespa hybrid scooter which is the Vespa LX model, this model only has a 50cc engine. However as there is a powerful 24 volt motor, the 50cc scooter will be able to perform much like a standard 125cc scooter. The best part about this though is the fact that the 50cc Vespa LX hybrid scooter will achieve 142 mpg, and it will only emit 40 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

Will you be waiting in line to purchase one of these hybrid scooters?
