News of Damage caused by Hurricane Dean in Jamaica, Heads for Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico

Hurricane Dean hit Jamaica at category 4 before moving on to the Cayman Islands.

The Cayman Islands did not fair to badly as hurricane dean spared the islands a lot of its power. However hurricane dean is now moving towards the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and it is gathering power.

According to the U.S. National Hurricane Center, hurricane dean will reach a category 5 in power before it hits the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, before moving across the Yucatan Peninsula to the Gulf of Campeche which is cover with oil rigs.

What did you think of hurricane dean in Jamaica?

Apparently it could have caused a great deal of damaged, but the Jamaican authorities were very well prepared and dealt with hurricane dean with “war like” efficiency.
