Big Brother 8: Gerry Says Goodbye As He Is Evicted

Last night Carole and Gerry found out that they were the two housemates with the most public votes but unknown to the housemates, Carole had polled 49% of the public vote, whilst Gerry had received 24%.

On hearing that he and Carole had the most public votes, Gerry accepted the news calmly.

Big Brother announced that the Gurus were then told to choose to evict one of the two; Gerry knew what he wanted them to say.

“Gerry,” he pleaded. “I want Carole to win the money. Show them I don’t want the money.” the twins looked shocked, but obeyed, while Tracey and Ziggy announced Gerry’s name more simply.

Gerry said that “I knew there would be a twist and I’m absolutely fine with it, it is very, very important for me for Carole to stay. This is the right thing.”
