Utah Sesimic Bump Rescue is Suspended: Missing Miners Left in Mountains
August 17, 2007 | Filed under Environment, News

Local rescue services have been trying their hardest to reach six miners trapped somewhere underground in the state of Utah since Monday, over four days ago. What’s worse is that the rescue has recently been suspended due to the intensely dangerous seismic activity, the mine owner says.
The chairman of the company, Robert Murray stated that “we are back to square one underground,”.
As of this time, no contact has been made with the trapped men, roughly 1,500ft underground beneath what we can only imagine as hell. Thankfully, if the miners have somehow, yet hopefully survived, they have enough air and water to last several days, apparently, as the mine company said. How this is true I don’t know, but let’s just hope it is.
Many have been speculating as to the cause of the collapse, with initial expectations being related to that of an earthquake. However, recently sources have come up with the possibility of the miners’ work triggering the incident.
“This was an earthquake, contrary to what others might have you believe,” Murray said. Sure it was Murray. We don’t expect you to see a different side to the story.
Our thoughts go out to the trapped miners and we sincerely hope that you are rescued sooner, rather than later.
