Steve McQueens Ferrari Lusso Twice its estimated value
Early today we told you that Steve McQueen’s brown Ferrari Lusso: The Star Car at Christies Monterey Auction, it was expected that the Ferrari was to fetch $1 million, but the Italian sports car sold for $2.3 million that’s more than twice the original value.

Only 350 of Ferrari Lusso’s were made and Steve McQueen had to have one, but boy was the color of brown an ugly choice. McQueen purchased the car in 1963, and just 10 years later in 1973 Steve decided to trade it in for a newer Ferrari.

Michael Regalia, a car restorer worked hard to get the Ferrari Lusso back to its original appearance. If the car was not owned then it would have only fetched $600,000 to $800,000, instead of the $2.3 million it actually fetched.
