Man gives up his pet Ornate Golden Baboon Spider

Suffolk animal rescue officials were today called in to a man’s house in Rocky Point as he wanted to give up his pet spider. But it is not just any spider it is in fact an Ornate Golden Baboon spider.
The man decided that he did not want his pet anymore, maybe it has something to do with its venom is as toxic as a scorpion and the fact that the spider will live for up to 25 years. The Ornate Golden Baboon Spider had to be taken away by the Suffolk Society for the Protection of Animals.
SPCA Chief Roy Gross said about the spider “This will make a regular tarantula look docile,” “It doesn’t take anything to tick it off, and it jumps three feet.” The body of the spider is both large and fat, the body and legs are also very hairy which gives the Ornate Golden Baboon Spider a more bulky look.
