Disney is set to rename the Disney-MGM Theme Park in Orlando to Disney’s Hollywood Studio. The park won’t just be renamed, but restructured into different lands. There are plans to increase George Lucas’ presence in Disney’s Hollywood Studios into an entire George Lucas Land that will stretch from the Indiana Jones Outpost to the Tatooine Traders.

Star Tours 2.0 will be in the heart of the revisited area, complete with a brand-new 3D ride film. There have been rumoured that a few scenes from the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular will be replaced with new stunt sequences from the upcoming Indiana Jones 4.

Reports from the OrlandoSentinel have said that the park will be adding a permanent new stage for the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy, which has been a popular seasonal feature of the Star Wars Weekends. The new Jedi Stage will cover a large patio area outside the attractions and will contain a tech booth and a permanent backdrop.

The show starts this autumn with up to 8 shows a day. This news will officially be announced in 2008 with plans to go live in 2009, which will be the 20th anniversary of the theme park.
