Christy Newlin, Wife of Sheriff’s Deputy: Charged With Prostitution
August 17, 2007 | Filed under News

It’s a sad day when the wife of a Michigan sheriff’s deputy, Christy Newlin, has been charged with prostitution, enhancing the likelihood of her ‘customers’ by using the Internet. However, for the $250 an hour she was getting, I am seriously regarding a career change.
Sheriff Michael Bouchard said “Randy Newlin has not been disciplined”.
“I often receive … anonymous tips regarding criminal activity of citizens, and this one, unfortunately, concerned alleged activity of the wife of one of my officers and, more unfortunately, proved to be true,” said Bouchard.
Investigators believe these activities have been occurring for a long time now, during the past 12 years. Having advertised that she was available three days a week for the generous $250 an hour and appointments could be made through the Web site, the customers came flooding in to book their appointment.
Christy Newlin, we expected better of you. But we don’t blame you for that $250 an hour. What do you think of the situation?

It is great to see hard earned tax dollars go to waste chasing after adults.
Who really needs to worry about dead beat parents who do not pay child support, or the neighborhood drug dealer selling crack!!
Hell why work at all just sit on your ass at home and collect welfare!!
From terrorism to missing children and wanted top criminals, the police should reorient its priorities.
Going after this poor woman, while legally right and moraly justifiable, is not what we need our law enforcemnt capacities to focus on.
It’s comfortable to go after easy targets like this woman instead of going after real dangerous elements out there.
I will applaud moves against prostitution only after real measures are taken against other types of crimes. Of course, when they discover a prostitution ring that uses minors that makes sense to me. Also cleaning the streets from wandering hookers. But this woman confined to her house, please, it is a pity case not smth police deserves respect for.
I think its a sad day on this earth to go after someone for having sex with someone that she wants to .It does not matter who she is married to .The police and Goverment should get there hands out of our pockets and into the real criminals and take them off the street. Go after the perverts that go after kids. If two adults want to knock boots and pay for it so be it …
