Nowadays, any old quad-core laptop just doesn’t seem to tickle our fancies like it used to a while back. I mean, Alienware have totally taken up the gaming notebooks market, but with this notebook in the running, will they stand strong?

Trust me, it does take a lot to tickle these fancies of ours and the Xtreme 917V has done just that. With a Core 2 Quad processor in a cool 2.35-inch thick case, it deems impressive.

It boasts a 17-inch display, dual NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX GPUs, a dual-layer DVD writer, multicard reader, integrated webcam / speakers (duh), up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM (love it), room for three 250GB hard drives(awesome) and more, it really would be an awesome gaming laptop.

However, with prices starting at $2,399, will it succeed? If you ask me, with ever changing technology coming down in price faster than shares in Microsoft’s Vista, we feel people may be put off.

Having said this, there will always be a crazy geek man that won’t mind spending his money on what we know is pretty reliable stuff. What do you think?
