Max Roach Dies
Jazz Musician Max Roach has died at the age of 83, Roach was one of the best jazz drummers of both rhythmic language and modern jazz. Max had been ill for the past few years, but sadly past away in New York.

Max Roach was married and divorced a total of three times; his survivors are his daughter Maxine and his son Daryl from his first marriage. He has another son Raoul from another relationship he had, and from his third marriage he had twin daughters Ayodele and Dara.

Max Roach last made a recording in 2002 with Clark Terry.

    My condolonces to the Max Roach family; I have been listening to Max Roach for the past fifty years, and I too will be among the many that will miss his presence, but I will continue to listen via all of the recordings he made with various groups.
