John Elwin: Friends try to solve his disappearance

Have you ever been asked the question, what you would do if a friend went missing while exploring another country. Well that is what the friends of John Elwin had to face as the adventurer went missing while Philippines.

It was a slow start to the search as Elwin’s girlfriend took two weeks before she phoned and asked John’s friend Luis Soltren where her boyfriend could be. Soltren, was in fact a good friend to John as he spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of his time in the search for his friend.

The search which took then to the Philippines was a tough one as they had to conduct a search over mountains and jungles while trying to avoid rebels. One place where they went searching for John was only 120 miles north of Manila, but it took them almost 8 hours just to drive to that location.
