Tropical Storm Erin made its way up from the Gulf of Mexico, which had wind speeds of 40mph although Erin will not cause much damage apart from a little bit of flooding on the coastal areas with only 3 to 5 inches of rain, although 6 to 8 inches of rain have already fallen in Matagorda County.
Erin will start to move in a northwest direction as it sweeps across the southwest of Texas, although rainfall should calm down by tonight, but the remains of Tropical Storm Erin will continue to dump rain between Pearland, in Brazoria County, and Katy, west of Houston.
