A new photo from Fox’s big screen adaptation of the popular Hitman video game has been published by USA Today. The film does seem to run in the same vein of the game and I hope that, unlike many other video game adaptations, does well at the box office.
The movie follows Agent 47 as the hunter becomes the hunted when 47 gets caught up in a political takeover. Both Interpol and the Russian military chase the Hitman across eastern Europe as he tried to find out who set him up and why they’re trying to take him out of the game.
The movie trailer didn’t do much justice for the film, but star Timothy Olyphant didn’t really help the situation in a recent interview, “I know people want you to be true to the game, but no one really wants to go pay for a movie to watch a video game, “And, look, it’s a movie. You’ve got to have the girl in it. I just hope the fans feel I’m the character they’re used to.”
The film, starring Timothy Olyphant, Dougray Scott and Olga Kurylenko, hits theatres on October 12th.
