Software giant Microsoft face another threat to their position as a leader in the software market.
Google are again challenging the dominance of Microsoft by releasing StarOffice which will complete with Microsoft Office, but Star Office has one major advantage.
Its completely free.
This is how Google becomes so successful. It makes better software and offers it for free. Why fight internet piracy and illegal downloads? Why not use the technology to your advantage?
This is what Google does and this it what it is doing with Star Office which consumer will be able to download for free.
Star Office is way better than Google Docs and Spreadsheets, which was a lightweight application. StarOffice is a full blown competitor to Microsoft and before it was included in the Google Pack, it cost $70 from Sun Mircosystems.
Apparently, Google is paying Sun so let Google make Star Office downloadable for free.
Do you think Star Office will end Microsoft domination?
What do you think of Star Office?
