4dventure countdown: Is it the end of the world, what is all this about?

We are calling all readers to tell us more on this 4dventure countdown, is it the end of the world or something. We found via the Wizards dnd site this 4dventure countdown with nothing more or nothing less that a countdown timer for something.

What I would love to know as would many of other would, is this the new announcement for the release of the 4th edition.
