Watch Ryan Reynolds in the first 9 minutes of The Nines

As you know I’m a huge fan of John August’s directional debut, The Nines. Although I love the film, I’ve never been able to explain the plot. I’ve tried, as have many people, but it’s such a great, weird film it’s hard to know where to begin.

Thankfully, the people at Newmarket Films have decided to release the first 9 minutes of the movie online. The first nine minutes of the movie with give you a great indication of the playful nature of the film, the actors involved and the pop-culture infused dialogue which is now August’s trademark.

It hits theatres in LA and New York on August 31st and will hopefully expand based on audience response. Make sure you check out the clip below and tell us what you think.
